Inorganic Chemistry at UB

Transitional metal and main-group chemistry, organometallic chemistry, bioinorganic chemistry, coordination chemistry, homogeneous catalysis, nanomaterials chemistry, x-ray structural studies, and solid state chemistry

The inorganic chemistry division has diverse expertise in all of the areas central to the discipline, including bioinorganic, materials, main group, and organometallic chemistries. The synthesis and kinetic studies of organometallic compounds, homogeneous catalysis, the catalysis of RNA cleavage, X-ray structural studies, coordination chemistry, chemistry at the nanoscale, and solid state chemistry are some of the current inorganic faculty interests. In addition, joint research collaborations with faculty in other divisions are important because of the cross-disciplinary nature of modern inorganic chemistry.
